Weekend trip to Philly for 4th of July weekend. The only thing set, is that we're going to a Phillies game.

I really just want to see some of the history, walk around, and stuff my face at Reading Terminal Market.

Any one here from around that way, or know the area? Looking for some recomendations, a luxury hotel to stay at (LSC14 likes to be pampered), must see places, and of course... areas to NOT go to lol.

I also love a good bar. Whether it's rooftop, outdoor, or a dive.

Beiler's Doughnuts at the Reading Terminal Market is outstanding. I could easily eat myself to death with those doughnuts.

Not sure what you consider a luxury hotel, but last time I was there we stayed at the Kimpton Palomar and it was pretty nice. It's maybe a 15 minute walk to Reading Terminal Market and takes you by City Hall.

I think that's one of the ones we were looking at. There was also the Ritz Carlton. I've always thought it's worth it to have a very nice hotel room when you travel. I really can't wait for the Reading Terminal Market.
