We have had nothing on this board about it so far.

How does Tommy look...is his head in the game?
What is happening at running back?
What young guys are getting looks?
What is the morale of the team knowing they just slipped in to the bowl?

Tommy says that he really wants to break his bad habits and WANTS to be coached......this time he means it. Apparentlt he wasn't listening to the coaches for the past 10 months.

TA's remarks don't reflect well on him. He's had nearly a year to take in whatever lessons Riley and Langs had to impart. Unfortunately, no other QB has stepped up to really challenge him. Competition is a good thing, as it concentrates the mind of the competitors during practice.

TA has not been coached for 3 years - not well anyway. Dude has moxie and a canon for an arm - but the football IQ is lacking. If he is willing to dial back the gunslinger approach to QB....that would be good. Also would help if the Oline did not put him in position to pull a play out of his backside or get killed back there.

I don't believe for a second that TA didn't receive some good coaching under Beck and also this year. I think he's just way too stubborn and his recent comments confirm so. Rather he can change his ways over the next 9 months remains to be seen.

I don't know if it's stubbornness or game stupidity. It appears to me that he's one of those guys that in game situations always wants to be the hero and go for the big play rather than the smart play. Is that maybe a little Favre summer coaching coming out or is it as Steve Taylor says "that's just his genetic makeup" and we aren't going to change it. It has led to big plays but it has also led to disaster.

I remember watching his high school film when he signed his LOI and thought "His default is to just chuck it deep and hope his guy gets it." That hasn't really changed.
