I don't normally do it, but I figured I would this year. Saw a 40" LED 1080p TV for $125. It got pretty good reviews for a cheap TV. So we bought 2. One as a present for my son and one to replace my old Samsung Plasma TV that is starting to crap out after like 7 years. It is a cheap brand called Element, but they are only going in bedrooms so I'm not worried about brand names.

I got there an hour early and within 20 minutes of starting, I was already in my car heading home. So it was a fairly easy process. My wife of course went to other stores with her friend after that and has spent 3 hours in one place. I heard it was over an hour wait to checkout. That would have killed my back so I'm glad I only went to one place. I did do some online shopping as well that was much more convenient.

Bring on the poors only go shopping on Black Friday talk.

Nope. I don't need to wait in long *** lines to save $150.

Eff that noise. Went by Best Buy yesterday. Wife is wanting one of those GD Ipads. Welp, that line of people curled the parking lot like a 14 inch turd coiled up in a toilet bowl. Told her nope. Just told her to go to Apple online and buy it full price.

Dangling a discount in front of people. Just like a carrot on a string.

No way would I go out for a $50 discount on an iPad. Apple stuff is never discounted that much. You can probably get the same deal at Costco all the time.

My wife and son spent about 2 total hours driving/waiting in line to get a 49" Toshiba 4k ultra TV at Best Buy for $200.

$200, for a 49" TV with a phenomenal picture. Still can't believe what you can get for that kind of money.

I got the Xbox one with Minecraft for $250 at kohls. Which the strategy was not for the $50 off it was for $75 Kohl's cash next week to get clothes on sale then for free.

I was there maybe 10 minutes as I waited in my car for the line wrapped around the building to get in, and then got out walked in trapped gift and done.

Nope. Last week bought a Vizio Ultra 4k HD 65 inch for $598. Happy as touch with it, no wait in line. Just used the business card, got in early before they even opened (to normal consumers), and bounced in 5 minutes. Sams runs great deals all year round, I am not spending all night to save $100-$200 on ****. I got too much other stuff to be doing. Drinking, gambling, watching said games I gambled on while drinking. I hate Black Friday so much, I would rather lose the games and get nothing in return, then go spend the same money I lost and wait in line for "deals".

I don't celebrate Black Friday.
I'm gearing up for White Saturday. Instead of blowing my money on deals, I'm taking a hard look at my investment portfolio, restructuring my current investments to maximize my returns.

It's amazing to me what little value people place on their own time.

Maybe if i were a doctor or lawyer my time would be worth more, but I'm not and it's not. Saving like $100 for an hour and a half of my time sounds like a good value to me. Otherwise I would be sitting around at home watching TV and not accomplishing anything.

Then watch them act like animals trying to save a few bucks.

Got an authentic USMNT soccer jersey for $30. Pretty pumped about that. And lots of sweatshirts sweatpants and shoes for the kids. 10 items for under $200. Easily $600+ retail.

Doesn't that really piss you off about what is considered "retail"?

Chew on that for a while.

I do a lot of outdoor lights/decorations. Picked up a few new pieces yesterday afternoon after the crowds died down. No way I'm going out Thursday night/Friday morning.
