I watch very little prollegiate football anymore. I didn't see the Indiana game yesterday. Nonetheless, I was happy this morning for their players, students, and alums. Even though the Hoosiers have been undeniably good the last two years, it still has the feel of a Davey and Goliath story. I hope they figure out how to take the whole thing.

I'm happy they beat Ohio State
Let's see what they do in the playoff--right now, they haven't accomplished anything.

My 87 year old mom is a '60 alum of IU (a tri-delt). She now lives alone in assisted living facility with my Dad having passed June of '22. I'm thrilled for her as we share our total contempt for all things Ohio State. Im actually in a plane now headed to visit her and work for Boston this week.

I am. I went to the Penn State game there in ‘04 (goal line stand!!!) and it was really depressing. I’m glad for whatever poor souls have been die hard for that program all along.

Why would you be happy for their University, Alumnus and students - their team is a bunch of mercenaries that have zippidy doo dah day to do with any of those things??? BTW, Indiana only beath PSU with the help of the corrupt officiating in this dump of a corrupt league - anyone who watched knows that Indiana got away with tackling our DL on their final drive - no flags despite the fact this is the only reason they were able to throw the ball down the field from the shadow of their goal line. First long pass was just ridiculous - multiple PSU rushers were literally tackled, several from behind on the pass. Of course, no flags.

That’s awesome. My soon-to-be 94 year-old mom is still a total sports fan, as I am 😊

Not me…the last thing we need is another world beater in our conference…it’s hard enough to recruit against OSU and Michigan without adding Indiana to the mix.
I don’t think IU will be able to sustain what they’re doing and the more I think about their season, the more I think the conference really wasn’t very good this year. Credit where it’s due, but a team that needed a miracle catch to beat us this year is not the best team in the country.

Miracle catch and a complicit corrupt b1g clown officiating team... The only reason they made any plays on last drive was because the corrupt b1g officials allowed their OL to tackle PSU defenders who were sacking the daylights out of Mendoza all day long. Kind of easy to get the ball off when you literally allow defenders to be tackled to the ground who have nothing but open field to the QB still dropping back. Would not be surprised at all if both duhO$U and Indiana lose their first Playoff games (which will be 2nd RD game for Indiana)

Going into the playoffs, UGA is the team to beat IMO…peaking at the right time. Bama may not be what they were under Saban, but they were completely dressed down by the Dawgs yesterday.

Great for the Hoosiers! What a difference a real coach makes.

Best thing about it is puts a bug up the azz of so many here. Watch them do in 2 years what our pathetic program cannot accomplish in 40.

You confuse corruption with ineptitude and have a fundamental misunderstanding of why certain conferences call things certain ways. Holding, for example, may be called differently in the SEC than in the BigTen. That is not to say corrupt officiating is impossible, but with all the money involved on both sides of a game, the chances of actual corruption are near zero. Of course, I may be wrong and, if so, please provide one single example of proven corruption in any game over the past 25 years. I don't have time to wait for your response as I am headed out of town, and will be off the board for a few days, but I am sure your answer will enlighten others.

IF - you could find a more rude / smug / disgusting / jealous / whiny / crybaby / football coach, team, program, imported players - good luck. This has been a basketball school with no love for any .... any other sport. W's for two years does not make for any celebration.

We just fired one, took us 12 years to do it. He was much worse.

No. I guarantee nobody has ever been “happy for Penn State”.

I’ll never forget the ridiculous argument years ago when some posters tried to claim that Ohio State winning the national championship was somehow good for Penn state. Yeah, how’s that working out?

I watched the Duke/Virginia game last night. When my wife asked why I wasn't watching the Ohio State/Indiana game, I told her that it was because there was no way they could both lose.

It will be easier to sustain with a NC under their belt which is why I want them to lose immediately.

I'm happy for IU. Shutting out Tosu in the 2nd half was impressive.

Great friend/wife/son (all B1G golfer) all attended. I have probably watched 15 PSU/IU games at their house over the years. They were up in Indy last night. I can't not be happy for them.

I'm not. Not a Cignetti fan at all. Sure, the guy wins, but there is something a bit unlikeable about him. That said, I'd like to know the "secret." Mendoza was doing the same thing he did against us -- completing passes that aren't usually completed.

I saw a report where they have zero 5 stars and only seven 4 stars on the roster. Apparently the coaching is able to win with less.

Man, I just read all the responses. I'm clearly not alone on this.....
