Without warning, key strokes are not recording. I do not get warning until it starts recording the strokes. Blank may be a stroke, 5-10 or a couple sentences. Everything just freezes up. When I detect problem without warning bell, I cannot erase, go forward or anything.

When I get back up, it may only take one stroke before it stops again. I am not real speedy, but having to stroke 1 letter, stop - look and repeat. May have to shut down to get it to correct itself.

Anyone else having the problem? Is it Dell Computer, or Time Warner cable that is causing the problem - don't want to suggest V. Yes, the operator is bad, but not that bad.

This is always a rough time of year for any type of wireless comms, from radio to satellites. Without getting technical it has to do with the tilt of the earth with the approaching spring equinox, the effect it has on the atmosphere, and space weather (solar flares, sunspots) having good angle to play havoc with communications. Basically, it's the same thing that causes those annoying momentary outages while you're trying to watch the college basketball tourneys in March.

Some years are worse than others. I've been noticing it here, too.

Do what Mntneer suggested and see if that helps. Otherwise you're waiting for April like the rest of us.

this site prevented access, I guess, on my recently failed personal laptop as well as my work desktop. Then about 3 weeks ago I could gain access to see the board but rivals wouldn't recognize the passcode to post (but would from my phone). Now I'm fine because of a new computer.

I'll try the Java and Flash update on the laptop.

Download and install Malwarebytes. So a complete scan, reboot, run another scan, disconnect from the internet, reboot, do another scan.

You could have a virus or Malware causing problems.
