I don't think it's out of fear of getting hit so much as it is trying like heck to make a play despite the pressure. He's got a strong arm, but I think anytime a QB moves up a level (HS to college, college to pros), they have to learn the hard way that things their physical gifts allowed them do before, don't work anymore.

OTOH considering he made some good throws off the back of his feet. Maybe he is still good enough to get away with it.
