Was thinking about a European vacation in the next year or two and wanted to include Dublin to the list. For the most part, it will be the cliché Eurotrip (London, Paris, etc). I was just curious about Dublin and what it has to offer.

Dublin's cool. Not that cool, though. Was probably the least favorite part of my trip to Ireland. The touristy stuff is the Guinness Brewery, Trinity College, and whatever the big Bar area is, can't remember. The Pubs are pretty fun, the people are nice, but the only good looking women are from somewhere else and the weather is crap.

If you are doing a starter European trip, I'd skip Dublin, spend more time in London/Paris or go to Amsterdam or Italy instead.

If you are on a larger Euro trip and are just wanting to include some of Ireland ........then got to the West... Kinsale, Dingle peninsula , Galway, Connemara.

Dublin is fine, but I would recommend going there as part of a larger trip to Ireland, rather than as an add-on. Amsterdam would be the most logical city to do instead, though I also loved both Copenhagen and Stockholm.

London is great. The War Museum and the Imperial Museum I did not get to see. Would love to go back
Everything I've heard about Amsterdam revolves around drugs and sex.
I have not been to Scotlad or Ireland but know some who have and both were spoken of highly. They recommended the countryside in both

Love Dublin but it's a 2 day type of deal. Don't need anymore time there. The people and pubs are fantastic.

Been there as part of Ireland trip. Compared to so many other places in Europe, it's not very special imo. Bad? No. For comparison, on a 3 weeks tour, I'd spend it all in Italy before two days in Dublin. Would hit all of London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Bruges + Italy before Dublin. To each their own though.

Was there about this time last year. Dublin is OK and I'm glad I got to see other parts of Ireland, but I have no intentions of ever going back.
