Anyone find themselves putting in more hours/working longer at home?

First day back in the office after four months of working from home was yesterday. Doing two days a week as a test run with all sorts of protocols in place. Frankly, I’ve grown tired of working from home because myself and my team were constantly putting in 12-13 hour days and even playing catch-up some weekends.

It seemed to me some of the big bosses were afraid all we were going to do was dick around so they just key throwing more work and projects at us. In my line of work (health care related) the pandemic definitely increased our workload but not to that level I feel. So I put in an easy 8 hour day yesterday and went home.

Today? A constant stream of emails, meetings and more unnecessary “busy” ****.
