I don't think he is your "premiere" starting 35 min a game PF/C. He's a solid contributor depth piece with several years of eligibility and time to grow under Pope and Staff. High defensive upside, solid shooting percentages, and would pair nicely with dynamic guards. Not sold on his passing ability yet, but limited footage and not super familiar with FSU style of offense. Tons of upside to this kid.

Almonor substitution?
Very possible to be an Almonor defensive upgrade with the potential to be a solid offensive replacement. Need to see more tape, but on the surface, if you add a few inches to Almonor, subtract some pounds (Bowen needs to add muscle still to fill out his frame) you get a more athletic Almonor who can jump and rebound at a higher clip. High upside, low risk. A fair comparison would actually be a great shooting Brandon Garrison with better ball security.

He played 25 mpg (4th most), FSU as a team only averaged about 73 ppg. He was the 4th leading scorer, guy who was third averaged 8.8 ppg. He did average a steal and 1.5 blocks per game. Still young and developing. I wouldn't want him playing 25 mpg either. But he has talent and a nice touch. Could do a lot worse. He wears the same # as Garrison so he would have to switch jersey #s, lol.
He was the "other" big man in the FSU lineup with 6-10 220 pound (also a sophomore) Ewin who averaged 26.2 mpg , 14.2 points / 7.6 rebounds.
Oddly enough FSU's top 5 producers was 3 sophomores (Bowen, Ewing, and Deng), freshman guard Daquan Davis and Senior 6-7 forward Jamir Watkins who was the leading scorer at 18.4 ppg. Very young, 4 underclassmen and the lone SR.
