Anyone having issues with the "Do Not Call list" subscription not being honored?

I signed up around the 2000's and my cell is inundated every twenty minutes it seems. Any advice.

I frequently receive the obvious AI texts probing for information and names, asking to be their friend. They often come with pictures of hot women. It’s annoying and today I received one indicating that the person saved my number into their contacts without the name and requested my full name. I replied that I’m Easter Bunny the fourth. I did not get a reply back.

The Do Not Call list is a joke. iPhones have an option to put calls from anyone not in your contact list into silent mode. Since I did that, my spam calls have gone from at least one an hour to 1 a day.

There are settings in the phone that allow you to “ignore unknown callers.” If enabled, the calls don’t ring through and go straight to voicemail.

Another option is just don’t answer calls if you don’t have the number in your contacts list. If it’s important, they’ll leave a message.

Some carriers have spam/scam blocking. See if yours has it and then enable it.

Never “play” with the scammers. Any conversation you have with them helps them - and not you. They are skilled at manipulation.

The spam filter on my phone pretty much screens them out. I notice that most spam calls are VOIP calls. Like that’s a surprise.

Only everyone in the entire country. The do not call list is pointless, it accomplishes nothing. Do yourself a favor and get an Android phone with the call screening feature. I use that for unknown numbers and the phone rings far less often.

I answer spam calls with "You've reached WXLS talk radio. You're third in line to go on the air. What's your topic for today.". Instant hang ups and I now get very few spam calls. I can go days without one. Seems to be working and it's fun to do especially if they sputter some response.
