Glad you liked it. The last Marvel movie, or any superhero movie, I’ve watched in a theater was Doctor Strange.I thought it was a lot of fun. I smiled throughout it and Krypto rules! Gunn, of Guardians of the Galaxy fame, did a great job with it.
Well this version of Superman is what I would categorize as the comic book Superman. Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Green Lantern, was a hoot and Nicolas Hoult as Lex Luthor was great too. See it in IMAX, it was shot specifically for that.Glad you liked it. The last Marvel movie, or any superhero movie, I’ve watched in a theater was Doctor Strange.
My biggest problem with Marvel movies: I enjoyed the the actual comic books so much more. I had (roughly) 12 years of comic books, got the X-Men at their Claremont-Byrne peak. That was Art.
I saw the first part of the Chris Reeve Superman on TCM the other night. It really works. MK as Lois, that worked.

The Claremont-Frank Miller Wolverine four-comic limited series from 1982, that was something else too. That stuff was crazy. And in comparison to the Marvel movies, it's like comparing Black Sabbath to whatever ******** music is out now.
Also
same.

I eventually gave up comics, it’s a luxury for a middling mathematics graduate student.

Indubitably. I do regret the time wasted reading comic books but only to the extent that I could have been working on mathematics instead. Still prime nerd behavior.
