Anyone Smoke Cigars Now?

A friend of mine had a box of Cubans on our golf trip that he had brought back from Ireland. I enjoyed one during one of our rounds of golf. No where else to really enjoy one anymore. I really don't want to smoke them that much for my health. If I bought my own, I would smoke them a lot. So once every year or two when someone gives me one, I smoke it.
Smoke 5 or 6 a week still. Not a Lex guy so can't help you out. Order through JR's online if buying by the box. Right now a big fan of Oliva's, My Father and Joya deNicaragua, the gamut of flavors.
Honest question, what make Cuban cigars better than others? Just because they're rolled on Babushka Gonzalez's leg?
I have wondered about that as well. Are you old enough to remember when Coors was not sold east of the Mississippi? Maybe it's because they are so scarce? I remember wanting to drink a Coors beer, simply because I could not buy them, now I wonder what the big deal was, Coors are not that good to me.
In the past I'd enjoy an occasional cigar but is there a way to avoid the lingering taste? Waking up a little wine hungover with that flavor in your mouth is AWFUL.
Kyfanin has hit on it. It's like beer. You like some types but not others. Have had Cubans that smoked too harsh. Others have been among the finest.
Take a sharp object and Slice open cigar. Dispose of all tobacco. Insert new, greener plant.
A couple years ago, I started smoking cigars on the golf course, well that led to smoking another when I got home to smoking another after dinner. I never smoked cigarettes, but I was inhaling the cigar smoke. I'm not the "addictive" type to anything, but I realized I was smoking 2-3 a day and, albeit the cost, not feeling bad about it. Then I realized, this can't be good and I just quit buying them. Haven't smoked one in about a year.

JRs has the best prices and I either go to their store or order online quite often, although they carry a ton of different brands I still have to go to Tinderbox in Charlotte to try something different. Also a big fan of My Father as well San Cristobal and Diamond Crown. For the money I still think Romeos are the best bargain.

I have smoked a handful of Cubans and there are just as good cigars from the Dominican. Cubans tend to have the some of the best rollers which does make big difference as well as Cuba having the perfect temperature/climate for growing tobacco.
