Was it about the Rapture? I know there was a series of books called The Left Behind series about the Rapture and end of days. I think they also made some of the books into movies.

indirectly, kind of. Didn’t explore what happened, just the effects and ramifications. One of the most underrated shows I have seen. Took like 5 episodes to get into though. I almost quit watching early on.
