Have it on in the background. I think its live. Not positive.

The Ignite team is losing by 20 points. Kuminga and Green look like talents.. but their opponent is giving them and us spectators a good look at what life might be like in the NBA.

Might not matter for a guy like Kuminga.. but a team like the Delaware Blue Coats, comprised of mostly 4 year mid-major college players of years past.. is certainly giving them all they can handle.

Anyways. Just curious if anyone is watching and anyone's thoughts.

All G-League teams must not be created equally. Ignite handled the game I watched pretty handily.

Yeah I can't say I've followed it much. Seems like a short season and I believe they are only a few games in. They got whooped up on today.

A few takeaways:

- Pretty much all the straight out of HS players have looked good, to the point that I'd say it makes sense for all of them to have gone this route, as sad as it is to say. Even Nix is averaging 9/5/5 in only 26 mpg.

-.. except for Isaiah Todd. The 20th ranked recruit is averaging just 11 and 4 and I don't think he's projected in the 1st round. IMO, he's someone who might have been better served to go to college and try and bully lesser competition and possibly work his way into a top20 pick as a 1AD.

- And with how well it's going, I don't think any top10 player is safe to remain at their schools next year, and that includes specifically Banchero, who many thought would go this way anyways. I really think he's going to wind up in the G-League.

- Because with a 6 figure salary, the kids clearly liking the experience, and playing basketball closer to what the NBA is.. why would you go to college if you're a top10 player? The G-League just makes too much sense for those guys.

No way. K will threaten the kid. He will be at Duke, because that kid is afraid of K

The G League teams are also much stronger in general compared to past years because the franchises that opted out can put their players on other G League teams.

If we offered Cal, a reclassified PG that will never move up to the NBA, and a future 5-star bust to be named later...could we at least get the 3rd or 4th best coach in the G-League in return?

Asking for a friend.

I've watched a few G League games. These guys are really good basketball players and play hard in hopes of getting a call up. If we had a local franchise, I'd consider getting season tickets if they weren't outrageously high. The closest franchise to us is in Lakeland, which is about 2 1/2 hours away.
