I think it was a true blessing in disguise that Drew and Hurley snubbed UK.
Pope was the right guy all along.
100% agree. Hurley has resulted to crying now when he doesn't get his way after all of that winning the last two years. Drew knew he would be fit for the demands of the job here. Pope is hungry, energetic and gets it. He is one of us.

It was almost easier when I had stopped caring, lol. But I had a much better feeling in the last 5 minutes of this one than had in the previous few years.

I felt excitement and confidence late in the game, where under late stage Cal I was waiting for us to fall apart and lose the game in the last 3 minutes.
Dude we wouldn’t have been in that position in the last three minutes lol
At that point we’d have been going through the motions cause they’d have been up 25+

Definitely didn’t think Drew was right fit for anything UK. Didn’t really want another foot stomping, screaming coach like Hurley. Honestly was disappointed that we had to hire Pope because nobody really wanted the job. Got a good nights sleep and actually woke up with renewed excitement and expectations. I still feel guilty, but really thankful he is our coach.
