So I turn on Wake and ND (for God knows why) and they did a graphic comparing UNC and Duke. They said UNC had seven NCAA titles. Now even if you are the most wussy blue supporter that counts the helms trophy, that is still factually wrong. They only have 6.

Commentators drive me nuts, man. I know they’re human - they’re allowed to make mistakes but I can barely deal. Half of the time I will mute my TV and put the radio on a Duke play-by-play broadcast.

I ain’t “also” an IU fan by any stretch but I live in Indiana and the Hoosiers are royalty here so I do watch their games a lot, usually not by choice. Hearing Dickie V talk about Bob Knight makes my blood boil. I hear “ROBERT MONTGOMERY KNIGHT” in my nightmares.

Leaving out the fact that only UNC fans count it, the graphic clearly said "NCAA Titles." So even if you count the helms as a national title, it is only 6...

Oh my bad. I thought you were just adding them together and only got 6. Thought maybe you were missing one. But yeah NCAA titles is only 6. Also, I'm not really sure why they bother counting it, hell Butler got crowned "National Champions" by another magazine the same year. Pretty big miss by ESPN.

With the posts that I’ve seen about the Helms Trophy in this thread I decided to look up the list of Helms Trophy winners and UNC actually “won” 2 other Helms Trophies to go along with their Helms Trophy for the 1923-24 season. The other 2 were for the 1956-57 and 1981-82 seasons. It makes you wonder why they don’t count those other 2 Helms Trophies towards their total of Championships since they count the one in 1923-24. If they’re going to be pathetic enough to count 1 then they might as well be pathetic enough to count all 3. lol

I love the commentators. They sound like idiots 95% of the time. Duke will be down by 23 and they’re talking ish about how Duke is overrated, they don’t match up well, they’re so young....then Duke makes a comeback and they’re all over Dukes nuts screaming...we knew Duke would win, Duke is more athletic, Duke has high caliber players and the other team couldn’t match their size...give me a break!!!

Commentators to analysts, Dude they are flat out nuts. Seth Greenberg is on the halftime report during a conference game earlier this year..... “In my ACC coaching days I was fortunate to have some success against Duke [insert the rest of his “winning advice” here]” Remarks like that just infuriate me. Yeah, in 2011 we shot like 3/25 from 3pt and VT got their upset. Greenberg went like 3-15 total against Duke, funny to consider that as “having some success.”

I know most Duke fans think Bilas is a traitor, he’s said some things that have irritated me and I feel like his lack of love for Duke sometimes is to appear as non-biased as possible. But when it comes to calling games and giving analysis, he’s very articulate and IMO the best in the business.
