He gets out of a bases loaded 1 out situation and a bases loaded 0 out situation in consecutive innings.... UVA is having our kind of luck with bases loaded... this is unreal. UVA just can't catch a break when they need it most.

and it hasn't been a dull 2-2 game. Seems like every team threatens but cannot get over the hump. USC better hope they win this or whoever plays Florida is going to be spent, physically and emotionally.

Guess I'll give Price a pass since he's the closer but he looked confused.

I mean it isn't just UVA that has had tons of opportunities, USC has missed out on their own. I'd kill to have either one of these closers, though... both have played lights-out.

while the runner had a big enough lead to beat it out. Someone thought the play was there and it wasn't. Should have gone to first and just take your medicine on that play.

he wouldn't have had the blame tagged on him....

Sounded like catch was yelling it. Couldn't believe it when I heard it live. Got to get the sure out, or supposed sure out.

as far as a "great' game, i'm not on board. there was some really good pitching and some less than stellar pitching. UVA was only in the extra innings because USC made two errors in the same inning and the game ended on two errors by the pitcher. i would be more in the great game camp if timely hitting had scored the runs rather than errors. but i did think it was exciting and some of the pitching was clutch. the line drive that got USC out of the top of the 11th (or 12th or whatever..i lost count) was....as polk and bianco like to say...just baseball. lucky for USC/unlucky for UVA cause he hammered that ball.

Price for USC got out of TWO consecutive bases loaded jams... one with one out and one with no outs. UVA's pitcher got out of some pretty big jams, too. Stellar pitching doesn't necessarily mean keeping everyone off base... stellar pitching is coming through when you absolutely need to and both of those guys did last night. USC had the last laugh with UVA's pitcher making a couple of errors, but as far as pitching, it is about the best you will see in college baseball. <div>
</div><div>Also considering both those teams have great hitting, too. I thought it was appropriate that game ended with an error, but to keep such good hitting teams at bay for as long as they did, especially when it counted most, that is nothing but outstanding pitching.</div>
