Been doing low carbs and sweets to lose weight...it has worked great, but my gut , which had gone down considerably, is not where I'd like it to be. Have heard/read this is suppose to be good to erase belly fat and just wondering if anyone has tried it and if it was successful...TY in advance
Everyone's circumstances different and there's not a "one size fits all" method. I am late 30s. About 4 years ago, I went to the doctor and had higher than ideal cholesterol and blood sugar. 6 feet tall and about 175 pounds. Never been anywhere near overweight in my life.
I radically changed diet and exercise habits. Went very low carb (low glycemic fruits, veggies, nuts, lean meats, yogurt, salads, etc) and loaded up on heart health foods (nuts, avocado, fish, etc). Also made dinner a smaller meal. No desserts or any snacks after dinner. Limited all eating to roughly between 6 am and 6 pm.
Began cardiovascular exercise and ultimately was going 6 days a week. Run, bike, swim.
Got into great shape. Dropped about 25 pounds and blood work has been awesome. But it took a good 12-18 months to get there.
The key was staying on plan. Come up with a plan and stick to it.
