April 1, 1996: UK defeats Syracuse for the NCAAT title

They had a good team and John Wallace had a great season but we out-talented them up and down the roster. 95-98 were my final high school years and man what a time to be alive. You don’t know at that time and that age that it’s not that easy and won’t always be like that. I’m not 100% on my first memory because I remember seeing Mashburn at midnight madness his freshman year… Feels like it was in memorial though, does anyone know if that’s where it was held at then?
