April 12, 2024: Mark Pope comes home to UK

When Calipari left and we hired Mark Pope. It was such a breath of clean fresh air that I thought this is probably how a person feels the day he's released from prison.
I was initially wrong about Pope, and I thought the hire was a safe hire by Barnhart.
Glad I was wrong on the guy. He's crushing it. What he did last year should have earned him coach of the year. Now, he's crushing it in the portal with a top 3 portal class, and he's not done yet.
24 wins with that banged-up team was magical. I can't wait to see what he'll do when his system is firmly entrenched and he's had time to implement player retention and long-term scheme.
