One of the topics that is being considered is allowing a 5th year of eligibility if I am not mistaken.

What happens if NCAA allows the 5th year? Is it possible that any of our graduating class wants to stay for another year?

I just saw this earlier today on the NCAA meeting and I may not be correct just something that popped into my head.

The only one that could would be Almonor. The others have all had their 5th year.

The interesting one is Kriisa, who also had his 5th year, and the "5 seasons in 5 years" rule they are considering could take away his medical redshirt.

Just curious as to what reason there is for this? I mean at some point just stop slowly killing the concept of these athletes being in college and just say what it is-professional sports for under 26 age.

Kids could graduate HS, go juco for 2 years , which evidently no longer counts against NCAA eligibility, transfer to NCAA school and play 5 years (at 5 different schools) for the school(s) that write the biggest check and “leave” college at 26 years old.

I'm fine with 5 years of eligibility if they completely do away with waivers. Doesn't matter what happens, sorry for your luck, absolutely no more waivers for additional years.

Has it even been confirmed that they’re voting on the 5th year? There were some rumblings about that around the start of the new year that people starting running with as if they were practically confirmed fact, but I did see Goodman report that there was no formal proposal let alone imminent implementation towards the end of January and reporting on it seems to have been quiet the last couple of months.

So many things about CBB need to be fixed but a 5th year is what they are talking about? Yeah. Will be fun watching 30 year old guys balling out.
