Now lets go and win it all in OKC!

I love this OU team as most of you do also.

We are still very young but this team knows how to win the big ones

GO OU!

BOOMER SOONER!
I like that they keep proving me wrong! But they advanced by playing the #7 team in the country. We'll see tougher tests next week, for sure, starting against #2 Arizona.

I'm glad OU beat Auburn. Any good will capital their football fans had with me after the Sugar Bowl was lost by their jerk coach. He was mouthy last year in losing to OU, and he was mouthy again yesterday after we beat them. Again. At their place. First class douche.

Anyone going to their game next week? Thinking of taking my youngest daughter. Went to Game 1 against Tennessee a few years ago, and it was one of the best sporting events I've been to.

Best I've ever seen Pendley play. I was glad to see Patty play their better righties straight up with Paige 2 in the game. Best Romero has looked this year. Her focus was special.

Somebody else had to do it. Caleigh and Mendez were 0 for 6, but we got production elsewhere.

And Parker was awesome.

Anybody else notice that Clifton made the 21st outs both times we eliminated Auburn

Pendley has done great in big games
1. A bases loaded HR beating Baylor
2. A 2 run HR beating OSU 2-0
3. She was a huge factor in both games vs. Auburn

Parker was spectacular! 14 SOs & a shutout vs. Auburn

Sybarite said it best; those two stolen bases that we lost could have burned us but fortunately did not. I'm surprised Patty didn't unload on those missed calls.

Four teams have been eliminated:

Ole Miss
Auburn
Alabama
Kentucky

The only win that any of them had was against another SEC team, Florida.

Teams advancing:

UCLA
Oklahoma
Florida---the only SEC team played another SEC team.
Oregon

Yes, Bull, I know that. I'm just saying that today, we got contributions elsewhere with no production from the top of the order today. It wasn't meant as a knock on Mendes and Clifton, my favorite Sooner player.

Lots of great things in the trip to Auburn.

Love the headline from ESPN on the game:

"Auburn ends impressive season in Super Regionals"

It's like OU wasn't even there.

Did you really expect anything else from those clowns? Right now they are watching their beloved over-hyped SEC get exposed.

I am waiting for the day another major network steps to the plate and starts taking contracts from them in all sports with other conferences. It needs to be done to bring that network down to its knees.

ESPN is the SEC network first and foremost and has been for a long time. Yet the talking heads on that network deny it when anyone with half a brain knows better than to believe the BS they give.

Bull, What poster(s) publicly doubted the team? I think the only doubt we will see is that I doubt you will be able support your posts with facts. Having said this, congrats to the Softball Team.

My take on the Auburn headlines, quotes etc, it's over for them. They will not be involved in commentary or headlines going forward.

I hope you are now feeling better. Take care and listen to your Docs, We have a neighbor who had a recent heart attack with 4 blockages and he seems to be doing great now, He does go to classes associated with the Heart Hospital in OKC learning about heart healthy diets

And WNAS I never said there were any doubters on our board. What I was saying was after all this team has accomplished does anyone still doubt how great this team is.

CTOkie
I know how beautiful Maine is and how relaxing it is and I hope you had a great
trip. We have friends who live in Augusta and they love living there.

Your words, not mine. It's actually the title of this thread...but whatever man.

Are there still any doubters on this board about our great Softball team?

For one reason only, I want Baylor to win. That would end Mauga's pursuit of Chamberlain's HR record. It would also give us a team that we can handle in the first game of the CWS.

There is a huge difference between writing something down and speaking face to face.

I know exactly what I meant.

WNAS I never said or thought or believed that there were any doubters on our board. What I was saying was after all this team has accomplished does anyone still doubt how great this team is?

Case closed my friend. Now go worry about something important.

It's too bad we can't take another $ec team out in the first round before we end the bearettes season

You did indeed say it. Whether you believed what you said or thought what you said is a different subject. But no worries on my end.

David I found out the hard way, we Can do that. There is a little 'wrench tool' icon in the top right corner that allows edit of the subject line.

I was rooting for Baylor. The more Big Twelve teams in the tournament, the better OU looks overall. I wish they were on the other side of the bracket so we wouldn't have to face them until the finals. That would be cool, an All-Big 12 WCWS finals!

I still contend we're going to see much better teams than we faced in our regional and super regional, but if we get past Baylor (again) I like our chances. Baylor's a tough out. We did lose one in Norman, and it took everything to beat them in one of the other of our two wins in Norman back in April.

Top half of the bracket
#1 Florida
#9 Texas A&M

#5 UCLA
#13 LSU

Bottom half of the bracket
#3 Oregon
#6 Washington

#10 OU
#15 Baylor

I am 100% completely against a re-draw in brackets once you get to this point, but this one would have made sense to do so. It's still too regional for me. In three of the four first games, it's a rematch of conference foes. You'd like to think you'd see more of a diverse group of games

All you could really do is drop one of the paired SEC teams below and move one of the Big Twelve teams up. But it's fine the way it is. I hate the idea of re-seeding.

That's not my understanding of this bracket. It looks like it's two separate, distinct sub-brackets, and the winners of each sub-bracket play each other. We might have to face Baylor again to get TO the Finals but I can't see a way we play each other IN the finals.

But if I'm reading it wrong, please advise.
Whoever wins their 1st game, but loses the 2nd game, swaps sides of the bracket.
