You want the coach that hadn’t been to a FF in over 10 years?? The coach with multiple upsets in the 1st round?? Kentucky’s about championships and he’s no longer the guy.I sure wouldn't turn him away

It was a joke! Get over it. I do not get on this site to make personal attacks like a 4th grader, that is a loser mentality. Oh, someone said something about my team and it hurt my feelings...You're the one that gets on this site to stir **** I believe you're the loser in this situation
I would rather have a coach that has been to final fours and won a Championshio that has been beaten in the first round than a coach that has nver been to a final four or won a championship that has been beaten in the first round. You want the coach that hadn’t been to a FF in over 10 years?? You nailed it.I think Cal's downfall has been his inability to get elite big men anymore. I feel like his really elite teams always had a couple. Even Nick Richards is way better than anything he's had in awhile.
Where did I say Pope should be the coach? But to want a sometimes good team that can’t make a tourney run because of a terrible Xs and 0s coach is not UK basketball. Never thought I would see anyone on this board that wants that type of basketball and that coach back. WowI would rather have a coach that has been to final fours and won a Championshio that has been beaten in the first round than a coach that has nver been to a final four or won a championship that has been beaten in the first round.
Ark fans got their “they aren‘t robots”, “maybe somebody’s girlfriend…I don’t know”, “not my team” lecture last night.Well Arkansas is young.![]()
Not with the mindset of I am in the Hall of Fame, my job is to get these guys to NBA not win basketball for the University of Kentucky. That set in about 2016 and by 2021 was in full Little House on the Prairie mode.I would rather have a coach that has been to final fours and won a Championshio that has been beaten in the first round than a coach that has nver been to a final four or won a championship that has been beaten in the first round.
I never said you said Pope should be the coach. I stated I would rather have a coach that had been to the Final Four and won a Championship that lost in the first round than a coach that hasn't been there and lost in the first round. You can look at about any coach that has coached the game and there is a time in their career where they have missed the tournament and they have first round losses. So, by that standard, no one would be qualified for this job. Wow! Wow! Wow!Where did I say Pope should be the coach? I’ll always have love for Calipari. I do think I regret how I treated Cal at the end. I don’t wish him back here, but I respect what he did and I hope we return to prominence again soon whether it’s under Pope or someone else. I was unfair to Cal at the end. If I’m honest. It would be 28 years since our last final four and national title if not for John Calipari. Pretty crazy our fans are just going to bash him until the end of time because the last 4-5 years were disappointing. We were on the brink of being Indiana if not for him. I get he’s coaching at Arkansas and we’ve moved on, but let’s not act like nothing good happened for our program with him coaching
I dont deny his success here. To me the Pitino and the pre Covid Cal eras were just about as much fun as one can expect to have as a fan. Post COVID Cal was becoming insufferable to me. Whatever the reasons, justified or not, he was different. I’m glad he is gone for both parties. No need to deny the success or deny the decline. It would be 28 years since our last final four and national title if not for John Calipari. I agree. I feel the same way about how I felt about him and treated him at the end too. This has been an eye opener for me so far this season with the lack of recruits and just how bad the team has looked at times.I’ll always have love for Calipari. Hysterically funny on so many levels that some on here are missing Cal lolI would rather have a coach that has been to final fours and won a Championshio that has been beaten in the first round than a coach that has nver been to a final four or won a championship that has been beaten in the first round.
Maybe it was the Basketball Bennies Bull, As far as I'm concerned Cal crapped on any goodwill . He's gone, good.It would be 28 years since our last final four and national title if not for John Calipari. To each his own but I have higher expectations for UK. 10 years without a FF and to have talent is not acceptable to me. Obviously you don’t have those standards.I never said you said Pope should be the coach. Obviously, I had a better understanding of where we were and what we were going to get. Some can not see the forest for the trees. To each his own but I have higher expectations for UK. 10 years without a FF and to have talent is not acceptable to me. Obviously you don’t have those standards.
That is true. But it is not the ones you speak of. It is the ones that get so defensive and quick to put Cal down because they are so jealous and unhappy of were the Kentucky program is and the success Cal is having. Just like I appreciate Kenny Sky Walker, Jamal Mashburn, Joe B Hall, etc.. for what they have done for this program, I appreciate Cal for what he did for the program and the state. I am not going to disregard his greatness because of a 3 tournament games.Hysterically funny on so many levels that some on here are missing Cal lol

This. He changed after that 2015 loss. He got it back a bit in 2017 when we got roofereed. I think that kinda broke him for good tbh. Got deep with that 2018 run and that was pretty much all she wrote. He was never the same after that E8 loss.I dont deny his success here. Your dissatisfaction should be aimed at those constantly saying they want him back or making post about him to gaslight everyone else. They are obvious if you watch closely. It would be 28 years since our last final four and national title if not for John Calipari. I’m terrible at following that kind of stuff but if someone wants to say they want Cal back I generally think they are just arguing to rile people up. Pre-covid Cal was great but he had no interest in being that guy at UK anymore.Your dissatisfaction should be aimed at those constantly saying they want him back or making post about him to gaslight everyone else. Congrats you got the last word in.Obviously, I had a better understanding of where we were and what we were going to get. Some can not see the forest for the trees.
As Roseane Rodana Dana saidJust wait until he gets his starters back. He will make Hog Nation proud.
Go root for Arkansas they have just what you wantI would rather have a coach that has been to final fours and won a Championshio that has been beaten in the first round than a coach that has nver been to a final four or won a championship that has been beaten in the first round.
