I don't want to jack Rulz thread ao I'll start a new one. I haven't been an avid video game player since 2010. I just slowly started losing interest and the NCAA football game being cancelled was pretty much the death knell for me.

However, I have been watching some of the Arkham Knight gameplay and it has me seriously considering a PS4 and the game. I do on occasion play Arkham Origins for short stints and enjoy it. Are any of you considering this game and what are your thoughts it? When I watch the gameplay I get all geeky inside because Batman is by far my favorite superhero and it looks freaking awesome.

I haven't played Origins, but I played both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and they were both excellent. The fighting is the best I've ever played experienced in a video game, and it's really fun to glide around the city. Plus, they're jam-packed with al the villains you're familiar with, and this one is supposed to also include Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl sections. If you're as big a Batman fan as you say, I'd highly recommend it based on the previous entries. Obviously having to buy a console is a pretty big investment, though.

Definitely go back and play the old games. I don't even think you would have to be a Batman fan to enjoy them. However, if you are a Batman fan than you will geek out. So much cool side stuff and easter eggs.

While I enjoyed it Origins is definitely the most skippable. I think (don't remember 100%) it was made by a different studio and you can tell. It is fun but it feels a little different for some reason.

I have always read great things about the Arkham and Batman games, but never played them. I have also seen some of the Easter eggs in the games and they are pretty cool.

I bet there's a good 6 months of solid game play and total geekery in that series if you get them all lol. That's the problem...once I get started on something I'm pretty much a loser for awhile. So I have to wait for Fallout 4...since that will have me in the man cave for months (at least I will save money on ammo, since I won't be out going to the range during that time...)

The Batman games are really great. Some of my favorites along with the Borderlands and Uncharted series.
