I'm not worried/worrying about 2017 class yet, I'm just wanting the 2016 class to finish up strong. Then the staff can set their sights on the 2017 class.

I don't see this as any big loss at all. Undersized 2 star defensive ends with rather weak offers are a dime a dozen. I think we can and will do better.
