... watching the Mildcat meltdown last night, they might actually have a chance to end the 30 year streak at Florida next week.

In case anyone missed it last night, the might Gators entered the 4th quarter last night leading lowly UMass 10-7 before winning 24-7. UMass is ranked 127th or 2nd worst FBS team in the country.

Most of the Mildcat fans are too dumb to realize it and have moved on to the Midnight madness tent soirée.

The SEC is definitely down this year, and the Cats could still manage some wins. I think this all depends on the coaching. Who will be able to rally their team? Who will be able to get the kids to buy in, and work hard at improving on the small things it takes to finish the game?

Stoops has his work cut out for him. McElwain is in a better position with his team, since he is in his second year there, and went 10-4. But it's not impossible for Stoops to overcome. Their offense DID show signs last night.

They HAVE to solve the run defense. THAT is critical. Getting whipped up front like that not only wears you down physically, but beats you down emotionally and mentally. Given the strength of their secondary, they may need to sell out more on run stopping, and do more one on one type coverages. Whether they have the personnel to do that or not, is unknown to me.

The problem for UK is, all Florida has to do is pound the ball down their throats to win. It's a simple formula for success against UK. Florida may be down this year, but UK isn't in much of a position to capitalize.

But, fluke wins happen. That's about the only hope UK has.

Agreed. The sad reality for us and the SEC is that LPT may not be one of the worst teams in that conference. The only East team they're clearly gonna get curb stomped by is UGA. And they play a team in the West--MSU--that they have a shot against.

I'm actually not gonna be too unhappy if LPT beats a few SEC teams. It will cast the proper light on how bad that conference is. And it might take a little heat off of Stoops. We need that guy to survive as long as possible.

Not going to happen.

Even though 1-AA GA Southern managed to beat the Gators,
doesnt mean big blew will.

The streak will hit at least 35.

I thought the slappies looked very good with that checkerboard deal on their unis. It gives them a Tennessee look.

They say that the checkerboard blue and white is in honor of the owner's colors that Ron Turcotte wore when riding the great race horse Secretariat. I like that but From his grave Secretariat wishes they would stop dishonoring him. Red and Black is better.

Florida is NOT losing uk. Uk's front seven is god awful and Florida will completely exploit that. In the Swamp this won't be that close.

I sure hope you're right but Florida sure didn't exploit the 2nd worst team in the nation last week on the ground. 107 total rushing yards and just 3.7 ypc.

I'm counting on Drewsy the Barker throwing 6 INTs including a pick 6 to keep the string intact.
