It took a LONG time, but you freeloaders have your boards back. Enjoy!

Hallelujah!

Yeah, I finally made it over to the new board. It took some effort.

The experience of switching was a bit confusing. One day, I discovered that it was no longer possible to log in on the old board. At first, I tried using my email and password on the new site, but that did not work. In fact, the response was that no such account existed. I did not see an option to create a free account and I was not in any particular hurry, so I bided my time.

Finally, I began the process of interacting with the On3 support staff. Eventually, I got a response back saying that I should now be able to create a new, free account using the same email and username. I did that today. It worked, except for the fact it told me my username was already taken. I switched to AstralCat, and that got me in.

Later, after reading some posts, I tried editing my profile and found that I could change the username back to AstroCat.

Overall, the new site seems very similar. I discovered preference sittings to turn off the automatic playing of videos, which I immediately took advantage of. That helps, but it does not stop all of them. Since I normally operate with the sound disabled, it's not a problem.

Glad to be here!

So, what is the difference between a Member, an Active Member and a Well Known Member? And can I finally cash in my Trophy Points for prizes?

I miss the Alerts at the top of the screen that would quickly tell you if someone replied to a thread you were a part of. Sometimes, I see alerts, but it doesn't seem to be consistent. Is this feature still in development?

Check your settings, you may not have the alerts turned on.

We’re still missing quite a few posters. I wonder if some simply lost interest with the migration. It was choppier than expected.
The message board ICE got them, they're no longer with us.
