Tyran wasn’t fixing this team. He may have been the difference between a 10-seed and missing the tournament, but this particular team is going nowhere and one guy wasn’t gonna change that. The team is just poorly constructed, both from a skill standpoint and a personality standpoint. I will never understand how Pope and his staff did so well throwing a team together in 3 weeks last year, and so horribly with a full year to do it. It just defies all logic. We were a final four team last year, had we stayed healthy. It’s just mind boggling how this staff failed so badly at player evaluation in year 2.
