I suspect this is more about shaking up the roster with new blood and freeing up 3.5 million that was due to him his last year.

Harry needs to rework his contract and be willing to play special teams. That's how Bilal Powell has stayed in the league (though now a FA)

Harry will be fine. This is just part of the business. From the Falcons viewpoint, he made to much money considering he was the 3rd WR on the team. The Falcons have a lot of holes to fill and need to use that money on other positions.
