Throws now wobble slowly to the ground and out of bounds.

One of best QBs ever. But I think it's time.

He should have retired two years ago. Very little mobility left and a noodle for an arm. He looks panicked as soon as he takes the snap, like he can't get rid of the ball fast enough.

This is painful and frankly embarrassing to watch. In his defense, his WRs have dropped a few, but Manning looks like a second or third stringer out there.

The first NFL game I have watched more than 10 minutes of. Peyton takes the lead with under 3:00. Not bad.

Allegedly hasn't been able to feel his fingertips since sometime in 2011. Given that, what we see here isn't the amazing thing. What we saw in 2013 (55 TDs, IIRC), that was the amazing thing. But yeah, it's time.

New England will roll Denver next weekend. Manning can't throw deep. A healthy Steelers team probably would of beat the Broncos by 2 TD's

Manning can't make good passes past 15 yards...air mailed a few side line routes, etc...he's done. But Denver D/and Steeler injuries may carry him to another Super Bowl. But Denver is better with Ott

A naked assessment of the teams is that it shouldn't matter - either of Arizona or Carolina is better than either of Denver or New England (same as 2 years ago when these 2 met and Seattle and SF played in the NFC game). But, of all the players and coaches on the NFC side, Larry Fitzgerald is the only one with SB experience, I think, and the only one I trust anyway. Since Brady and Belichick have been there so often, that evens things out.....

Brady & Co. will put an end to the Manning era, both Peyton and Eli

However, Cam is the man right now and he will put the Pats to bed for the year on Super Bowl Sunday

Give him some love. I have always liked him. He seems like a good dude. Maybe he's got enough left to make some noise.

Yes he should have retired. But people don't retire when they are being paid that kind of money.

He's got a lot left in the tank. he can make all the throws. His throws have long since wobbled. If he gets protection he can pick New England apart.

You mean he should have retired after having a MVP year and statistically the best year in NFL history for a QB? Yeah...that makes a ton of sense.

Mannings arm looks completely shot, but he's still one of the smartest football players of all time. If the protections there, he could do more then enough damage just outsmarting the opponent.

Brady and Co haven't put Eli to bed. Believe Eli is 2-0 against Brady and Co in Super Bowls.

I like Manning, but will be rooting for the Pats to get another ring. Belichick is the best ever and I want to see him and Brady prove all the critics wrong that they need deflated balls to win games.

I still think the Cardinals are winning it all but would love to see Manning get one last ring and ride off into the sunset. I've always been a big Manning fan.

I also have come to respect Brady's dominance after originally hating the Pats a decade ago.

Agree, two years ago when he got them to the Super Bowlby setting records, he shouldn't have been playing.

He has played two seasons after that season, including this season. I was trying to say he should've retired after that season. He shouldn't have played last season or this season.

I am a big Manning fan and it's painful to watch him play now. He isn't half the player he was. In my opinion, he already doesn't get the full credit he deserves because of his playoff performances and what Brady has accomplished at the same time. Playing now is helping his bank account but at the expense of his legacy. I hope he is remembered for the amazing QB he was and not what he has been these last two seasons.

And for Bronco fans they have to be disappointed because with the way the offense is right now, they have a diminished chance of winning the Super Bowl. People thought the defense could carry the team there but the defense hasn't performed at the same level as they did the first half of the season.

Agree going to the AFC divisional playoffs and the AFC title game this year, dude has definitely lost it. No question about it.

Peyton played half the season this year. They still won games with him out and Osweiler at QB. He is not the reason they are in the AFC championship this year, it is the defense. Even the football analysts that do this for a living will tell you Denver is where they are despite Manning's play, not because of it. He is now a game manager. He isn't a QB that can go out and carry a team anymore.

anyone who does those awful buddy-comedy-style papa john's ads isn't that cool a dude

the p.e.d use is the tip of the iceberg IMO. he's always been a whining baby who blames his teammates for everything that goes wrong, and archie is a complete weirdo. i imagine there are more skeletons in that closet

Again not an expert. So you evaluate a qb's play not by his statistics but by the team record? Is the inverse true? That is, if the team does poorly does that mean the qb is not good?
I think you take the totality of the situation and not just one stat. Also, hes coming back from injury, so his stats are going to be low. Last year, he was 99.7, year before 111.17, which is when dude said to get rid of him. Its just dumb.

Tom Brady has a QB career rating of 96.4, below Manning, are you going to argue that Brady is terrible?

Also, while I agree he is probably washed up, to say he should have left 2 years ago is just dumb

Nope just saying current Peyton (this year) sucks actually.

Agree with that. My issue was the dude said he should have left 2 years ago, when 2 years ago he had a perfect season (besides losing in the SB) and then next year was pretty good too.
