Looks like a solid defensive pickup from the State of Florida. I would like to grab a few more from that State. Class of 2022.

From the PG U15 / U16 World Series:

Believe Lafferty is a ‘22 commit.

Dang - can’t get the chart to copy over but he had the 2nd highest FB velocity at 92 with an avg of 87.0.

6'1, and around 200 pounds. He could conceivably still grow a bit and will certainly add some velocity to that FB.

Looks like the Cats also picked up a grad transfer from Coe College - Zach Kammin. Haven’t checked his stats / record as yet though.

That's interesting. He's a redshirt senior. He played D3. He's pitching in the Northwoods League this summer and doing pretty well.

https://northwoodsleague.com/2020-pitching/

To break down the stats a little:

Kammin has 27 strikeouts through 19 innings pitched with 4 starts in 4 appearances. He has a 3.79 ERA, which isn't stunning, but also isn't horrible. He has given up 8 earned runs, 9 total, with 10 walks. He has yet to give up a HR. Opponents hitting .214 against him. He's given up 7 doubles, which seems to be what is boosting that ERA.

Kammin's 27 strikeouts makes him 10th best in the Northwoods League.

Played at a D3 in Cedar Rapids and in his first start this past abbreviated season he struck out 14. Was throwing mid 80's back in high school so probably has developed quite a bit over the past 3 years.

Very nice. So will he have 1 season or two of eligibility?

My assumption is that he has 1. I think, and could be wrong, that he was a senior in 2020 and the extra year will allow him to play in 2021 as a senior.
