I didn't want to get into the thread already going because I haven't seen it and don't want to hear too many spoilers.

My main question extends from me not having seen Captain Marvel yet. Should I watch it before going to see Endgame or does it matter?

I’ve seen all the others except Marvel. Made no difference. Knew who she was. Just not a fan of the character.

My dad asked me the same question. I think you can get away without seeing Captain Marvel before Endgame. Really, you could just find the post credit scene of Captain Marvel online and be up to speed imo.

Heck really just watch Nick Fury use the pager in Infinity War. I don't read comics, just watch the movies, and when he used that pager at the end I was like "Well someone big must be coming"

I knew who Fury was paging......just wondered how integral to the story she was.....

Captain Marvel is a good movie but yeah she is in End Game but its focus is the original six Avengers ( Ironman, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye)

It does give you a good back story on not only her but Fury and Coulson. So it ties somethings together pretty well. It isn't as important as say going to Endgame and not seeing Infinty War first. I preferred seeing Captain Marvel beforehand though. She is a critical character to the storyline even though it is more about the original 6 heroes.

She’s both the hottest person in captain marvel and in end game. The difference is that she is 90% of the movie in the former

Speaking of Coulson, Agents of SHIELD season 6 premiers next week and for those who may have watched it early in season 1 and gave up on it might want to give it a go again. The Winter Soldier reveal that Hydra was part of SHIELD happened near the end of S1 and it was amazing how the show took it and ran with it then kept that great story telling going on. Season 4 is the best season using 3 separate story arcs during the season then wrapping them all together at the end. Plus it has the best Ghost Rider put to film to date.

The only other Marvel films I would say are necessary are Infinity War and Captain America: The First Avenger. The others help, but these two are more integral to Endgame.

IMO, seeing the whole series is the best way to do it. Don't shortchange yourself. I watched the whole thing since early Jan. It'll be in theaters for 3+ months. Start chipping away at it. Some great movies along the way. So many little references and back stories.

You can skip Hulk and probably the most recent Spiderman, but after that they all play a part.

I actually watched them all in a row over a couple of months leading up to Captain Marvel and Endgame. Every movie ties in together with the Infinity Stones and how each hero ends up joining the collective group. I actually put my blu-ray movies in order from the first movie until Infinity War. Normally I do it in alphabetical order because I'm a bit anal like that but this series needs to be put together as a group in a specific order. I did the same with the DC movies from the last handful of years.
