Today, after getting home from NU loss, I had the chance to watch a number of B10 games. I also saw some of the other teams from games and I have a couple of thoughts:

1) Not a single coach can develop a consistent qb who can do anythin consistently offensively. Purdue's QB, a walk on, is the best. Hillinski has shown two games, but today there were some really good catches to bail him out. I have not seen Minny, but Petras (Iowa) blows, Mertz (Wiscy) blows, Ilini QB blows, Hilliniski ? Purdue QB O"Connell--okay, Nebby, Thompson--meh. 7 teams and not a damm good qb in any of them.

2) With all the money, as a fan of the B10, the following coaches should be shown the door: Ferentz, Chryst and Frost. How can such a good coach not know that Petras sucks and cannot develop a qb? Chryst is the same way. Frost is a moron. Brohm is on the brink. We'll see about the Illini. Minny's coach, Fleck, has them relevant, but pretty boring crap.

3) There is not a single top 25 team in the division. The teams and games are boring. Frankly, I did not see a single good team today in the B10 West.

4) Tonight, while up because my daughter is at high school homecoming, I watched UK-Fla, Ok State-Ariz State, and now Baylor-BYU. The Baylor game is okay, but the other two were entertaining,

This is exhibit a, b, and c of why divisions are going away.

The West division is considerably worse than the East division.

Only question is now is do they put this division split out of its misery in 2023 or 2024. Presidents/ADs will vote soon on it.

Minnesota will finish in the Top 10 for the 2nd time under Fleck. They have dismantled 2 inferior opponents and covered while not playing most starters in the 4th quarter. They are locked and loaded.

I really wish Fitz would do this.

Fully expect SIU and Miami Ohio will be closer thank we’d like.

All do candor Hilinski was pretty good even his stats do not reflect the fact that’s Dukes 5 DB system had 15 pass break ups.

Despite some ludicrous takes to the contrary, Fleck is a very good coach and has that program in good shape. Better than ours at the moment.

Disagree! They haven’t played anyone! Duke played very solid! Proud of all our guys! I just think you need more Porter inside than outside! Plus, we have an excellent receiving corps and best qb in the BT! Share the wealth while grounding and pounding! Defense is stout!

Oh, and those who thought Porter was way better than Hull appear to be a bit silly, especially in the absence of any retractions.

Are you drunk? Who is part of that "excellent" receiving group? Also, the best QB in the conference certainly isn't at NU.

Thomas Gordon and Evan Hull!

(I like Navarro and Washington too)

Don’t look now, but Ryan Hilinski is actually leading the B1G in passing yards per game right now.

Guys, Titaniun999 has been coming on here and posting some over-the-top optimistic comments for awhile now.

He's just playing - perhaps mocking some of us who can't help but see everything thru rose colored glasses.

It usually makes me chuckle...

EC:

I liked Hull last year. I thought Porter was even better than Hull when they both debuted 2 years ago. I was somewhat disappointed that Hull got the starting nod this year because I though it meant Porter had not returned to his prior form after his major injury. Within an hour of the Dublin kickoff, it was obvious that Hull was even better than he was last season. And stronger. Its great to see. I posted all that during the Nebraska game.

On the other hand, after his fumble against Nebraska, Porter has seemed like a shell of his former self. Less explosive. I hope Porter gets it going - I hope it isn't physical.

But, If people were on here trashing Evan Hull - I suppose there had to have been some such fools - they probably should fess up. Personally I don't remember much of that.

The B1G East is currently 14-0 so far in 2022 while the West is 9-7. Yes, the West has a winning record but keep in mind that many of those wins are against the cream puffs that major programs schedule at the beginning of the year
