Been waiting for a thread and haven't seen one yet, so here it goes. Our group is staying at the Hyatt downtown, so where is the Friday rendezvous? Local Whiskey? Time?
We are also staying at the Hyatt Place Downtown. Probably planning on Local Whiskey around 8ish for us

You have been on my list to meet. Though I think FB once suggested you as a potential friend so I might know what you look like. The Zucker knows all!

Hopefully someone will let the local establishments know what to expect. The mid-session rush at many of these hosts are completely caught off guard by the amount of visitors.

That being said, what are some can't miss places to eat and drink while we are in town? We are catching PSU hockey Friday night, but would love to visit some great places in between.

We'll be at the Hyatt as well. Local Whiskey is always a great stop. I highly recommend the Breakfast Shots! Look forward to seeing State College packed with wrestling fans. 🥓 🥃

Hi all,

Unfortunately won't be able to make any of the meet and greets, but if you see me in Hershey on day this weekend or State College, say hey! Still mapping out my states plan, but will absolutely be at the BJC on Sunday.

I got tickets to hockey game Friday. Can I assume that some of you will be at local whiskey around 10 pm or did Cael establish a curfew for fan base.😏
My brother and I will be at the hockey game as well. There is a decent chance we will go to Local Whiskey around 10pm, but from past experience, plans tend to be rather fluid.

I am excited to say that I am going, its my first live college event. I do get to stay at the Hyatt so I may be there with my son.

I've also never book a hotel before so my plans may fall through, fingers crossed.

I married a pretty good vacation planner. I'm not a dumb ***...I think. 😄

Good news wrestling fans, the students are out of town on break starting this weekend. Consider dropping into these places and others Tgar fails to mention.

Bill Pickle’s Taproom. Swig and swill, you know the drill.

Local Whiskey, a Tgar favorite. Grab the South Street Cheesesteak, do not get a small one. Tgar always orders his with a bottle of Malbec but Tgar is a snob. Lots of whiskeys, beers, cocktails.

Central Reservation, shared hallway with Local Whiskey but do not let this fool you, they do not sell the cheesesteaks even though they share a kitchen. Go to here for Tgar is their Central Reservation Burger, solid. Fun bar stools if you are taking your lovely.

Brothers Bar and Grill, Massive, lots of screens, national chain, not a part of the local pizza shops. Standard bar fare with Chicken sandwiches nd a French Dip.

Across the street ( Allen Street ) is Champs, students are scarce, head in there for Kamikazes and Miller Lites. You know the drill and do not vomit in the bar, use the alley.

Big Spring Spirits and tasting room. Lots of fun cocktails poured with Big Spring Spirits from the Distillery in Bellefonte.

The Tavern. Yes, the Tavern. Service and food can be great or completely missing, it’s a roll of the dice. Again, if your Beautiful companion is traveling with you, try to get a table outside upstairs in front of a fire place if the porch is open.

Cafe 210. You guys know the drill. Take bail money.

Antifragile, this spot is popular with the guys that frequent the Lions Den here. Solid beers, snotty vibe, cheesesteaks out front on weekends. ( Tgar finds them mediocre but others love them )

Zenos, Doggies, Phyrst, what can one say. Use condoms and tip your bartenders generously.

Federal Taphouse. A level up above Target, big space, 100 beers, large bar, solid scene. Decent br food too boot.

Triplett’s, this used to be Whiskers at the Nittany Lion Inn. It has been renovated, but still a nice place to bend the elbow.

Faccia Luna, a short Uber ride down Atherton for some wood fired pizza, salads, beers and wine. The Altosur Malbec at $ 9.00/ glass is the best wine deal in the area. Pizzas are delicious and the salads are solid as well.

Enjoy And behave. LOL.

I'm not sure the details but there was a Hospitality Pass between sessions to go to Pegula that included drinks and food as an alternative to leaving to head to restaurants downtown. With student break there may be staffing issues at the regular hot spots in town.

Staffing issues should not be a big problem.

It is in the Club ( South Endzone ) of the stadium and cost is $ 125.00. If there re a lot of folks in there, seating is limited as are urinals. No idea how many tickets they plan to sell. It is an option for killing a few hours. Tgar expects there will be more than a few folks partying the first two hours and napping the second two or vice versa.

Have fun!

Supposedly someone said they were moving it from the Club in Beaver Stadium to Pegula with some type of tie in with Woman's Hockey Playoff game.
