B1Gs in Tournaments

It doesn't look like the early B1G Tournament helped the teams. UNL got down early and lost, PSU also got down early but pulled it out versus Temple, and OSU is tied with SDSU at the half. There was a school of thought that the extra rest would help, if so then the B1G is REALLY down because no one has looked strong so far.

Usually that much time off is not a plus. If you have injuries and the time off lets them get back in the lineup, it can help but hard to be ready for game speed with almost 2 weeks off. Same reason a lot of NFL teams that get byes come out and have problems. Was the Missouri valley tourney (Loyola) a week early as well??

Hope Jimmy Delaney has learned that money isn't everything! He's screwing the B1G!! Dang!

So far, after Purdue finishes off Cal State-Fullerton, the B1G is 4-1 in NIT and NCAA. Looks as if people were justifiably suspicious of Nebraska's so-so schedule, although there were plenty of teams from the ACC and other conferences that shouldn't have been in the tourney as well. Sorry-excuse? Please. Oklahoma? Give me a break. I wasn't a fan of the Delaney move, but I've seen the B1G lay plenty of eggs in the tourney when they've gone into the NCAA on a regular schedule. And I remember when the pundits used to say early Big Ten exits were because the league didn't have its own tournament back in the day. So the B1G got a tournament, and it really hasn't made a bit of difference.
