Thought it would be interesting for fans to post the worst take they have had regarding UK basketball.

And I am talking about a take that you thought for sure was right, and you were embarrassingly wrong. Never hurts to have a little self deprecating humor.

I said “the blowout is on” when we ran out to an early lead against Wisconsin in 2015. Right after a WCS transition dunk.

I remember being convinced that BJ Boston was going to be the "protypical SF that we've been missing".

I'm sure I've had some like most here.

But I can't think of any lol.

I tend to take a "wait and see" approach a lot of years. I don't try to make wild predictions after a few games into a season about the team or players. So it's hard to remember a time where I was just wildly wrong.

Even with Cal. When Cal came here in 2010, I thought to myself..........hmm ok one championship. I thought that was realistic. I guess some would say I was late to the boat about wanting him gone.

I’m sure I have several. Or even a lot lol
But can’t think of them off the top of my head
Like @The_Answer1313 I tend to be cautious

Most I could think of right now was thinking that Reed would be back so he could play for CMP.

Yep. Billie G for me as well. In my defense I’d had it with Tubby.
I was still all in with Tubby, but I thought Billy would be a good replacement. Wow, did I get that wrong, but I had a lot of company. Turned out the job was just to big for Billy Clyde. You can’t be just the coach at UK

I said Big Z would be a NBA All-Star within 5 years😂 There’s still time, but I won’t be holding my breathe!

I was more convinced that the 2016 team would win the title than the 2015 team.

They had everything except a competent big man. Turns out Skal was competent, just used incorrectly.

Worst take lately has been that Chandler would be a meaningful contributor this season. Still holding out hope, but the game doesn’t seem to be slowing down for him yet.
