i killed a monster 200 inch buck last year and this 130 inch 9 pointer got me just as pumped. Came in grunting tailing this doe and she was his downfall. I would put pics but I can't figure how to do it.

Good job but I'm kinda upset rut started so early with modern opening the 14th. Also pay no attention to those who don't understand the cost to farmers and auto accidents caused by this magnificent animal.

Congrats on a nice buck! Screw anti-hunters...don't have time for that naive rhetoric.

I'm not anti-hunting. I'm anti-bragging-about-deer-hunting. You literally just sit there and hope that a big deer comes by to where you've been putting out corn for the last two months. It's like bragging about winning big at the slot machines.

I hunt. I even deer hunt. Of all the hunting I do, I feel the worst about deer hunting as it's just about pointing the gun at something that happens to walk by. Love venison too much to give it up.

Alot of people that hunt every year never kill a deer or even see a deer especially one of that quality and If they do they **** their pants, fall all apart and miss their shot. Ive got an uncle that talks deer hunting year round, has the best equipment and "sees" all kinds of deer but has only shot a few does...because he falls apart when its time to kill it. Ive deer hunted my whole life and killed alot of deer and I still get a little nervous when a quality buck shows himself. Thats a fine deer the op killed.

As long as a person eats what they kill, I have no problem with hunting virtually anything unless it's domesticated and/or endangered. And for those who are concerned about the deer population being killed off, there are more deer now in Kentucky than in the early 19th century. They were almost extinct in Kentucky in that era, (which was a bit strange to me when I first read it.)

How many arrows did it take? No way you dropped a 10 foot deer with one shot. I've heard of them that big, but thought it was a tale similar to Big Foot.

You couldnt be more wrong first I dont bait deer. It makes mature bucks nocturnal 2nd To bag a mature whitetail you must do your home work. 3rd I dont gun hunt I am a Bow Hunter. Deer on their natural behavior and not running scared. To bag a buck during Bowseason you got to be on your game or you will not connect.

I don't hunt - personal preference. I have a good gun collection - love to shoot but never acquired the desire to hunt.

My wife on the other hand stared deer hunting a few years back and bagged her first buck last year - proudly mounted on the family room wall.

I tease her all year long that she is not killing enough deer - Shelby County is polluted with them - it is not safe to drive from dusk to dawn. She needs to up her game dammit !

Saw an Axis Buck this past weekend. Absolutely breath taking. One of the most majestic creatures I have ever randomly stumbled upon. I shot it with my Canon 5d mark iii using my Canon 35mm wide. Caught it right at sunset. The timing and lighting could not have been any more prefect. It's definitely going up on my wall.

That's a nice deer. On a side note, I don't know you from the wall, but if s$&? ever hit the fan, I'm coming to your house. Lot of pics with guns and bows and if you can get that deer with a bow, I know we'll be eating well.

This coming from a guy who doesn't hunt. But can appreciate the difficulty of bow hunting.

Yeah. Blame the deer for auto accidents. Not the people who built machines to get from one place to another faster and more efficiently on asphalt poured right in the middle of the deer's natural habitat.

Yeah i seen them before just never really knew what they were called. They remind of a whitetail and elk combo or something on that lines. They are tuff looking.

This. I dont hunt anymore because so many of my buddies give me the deer they kill. I take the meat to the slaughter house already deboned and they grind it up with 5lbs of 80/20 hamburger and I package and freeze it myself. They charge $10 to do it plus about $15 for the hamburger. I find that it makes a much leaner burger with just enough fat to keep it from sticking when cooking. Much healthier and much cheaper. I havent bought beef from the grocery store in 3 years now.

Nice. You might need to upgrade to a double wide for wall space to mount that thing.

Nice, I'd like to see the pics. Only thing I've killed so far is a doe with a bow this year. Was the 200 inch fair chase?
