Guess its obvious I am bored. Been stuck in the house since Dec 2nd. Bad cold for a week and then a bad gout attack in my right foot that was getting better a week ago but stupid me had to put a shoe on it and go walking around Christmas Shopping, flared back up last Saturday but is getting better now but still cannot walk very well. At least for the last few days I have football to watch while I am growing into the couch.
For those that don't know what Gout is, pray that you never find out. Pain scale 1-10 its 13. I kid you not.

Watching the halftime show of the aggies and VT, the talking heads Desmond Howard and the 2 idiots dissing OU's defense and praising Georgia and Desmond laughing it up. Hope the OU players are watching.

Don’t care for Desmond as a commentator but the truth is I’ve been dissing the defense for a few years. I just hope they play well enough to solidify a ‘W’ in the Rose Bowl. Baker & Co will need their help.

Ya I guess a good portion of OU fans must be idiots too for bashing on OU's defensive failures the last few years.

The way they've played lately has been as good defensively as almost any Stoops team. Don't read me wrong, every fan owes a great debt of gratitude for the job he's done in stabilizing the Sooner program.

For old-guard fans like me, just playing for championships isn't what this program is about, we want our fan-candy with championships on top. On a reasonably frequent basis and no, 17 years isn't frequent.

Just cut yer damn feet off. That's solid advice from the guy that gave iasooner the MS. No feet, no gout issues. Unless you have it in your hands too. In that case, we might need to huddle on a solution.

Ha ha medic that was on my mind a couple of weeks ago!
Felt like someone was pulling my big toe nail out with pliers while someone else held a blow torch to the top of my foot and that lasted for about 14 hrs. Been taking all kinds of stuff for it and its better but not back to normal by any means.
Never had it anywhere except my right big toe lower joint, twice now, hope its the last time.

Heard on tv last night when they were talking about OU's defense they said Mikes response when asked about it recently was the defense had a big hangover after the Ohio State game and that was to blame for most of the poor play by the defense after that game.

That was one heckuva hangover. Geesh
Hope they have sobered up!
If not for the middle of the season defensive slump, this year overall would have been a monster year for Mike's defense. The bookends of the season defensively have been as good as any since Mike has returned.

That mid year slump could be attributed to injuries. At different times starting with the I.S.U. game we were playing true freshmen in the back end. GALLIMORE was out. Bledsoe was not there and then he had to round into game action and Lampkin wasn't what he is today. This doesn't even take into account Tomar, Bolton, Parker (DB), etc. Will Johnson was out. This D we take the field with is as close to full strength as it's been. Also, the style of O we are going to see works to our advantage. Look for Kelly to have a Big game like he did vs Auburn.

You get an injury pass on losses, if you are a chosen one.

See Clemson (aka CCc) vs. Syracuse.

We have to score touches on every possession and hold GA to fgs a few times. We cannot allow their frosh qb to have a record day making first downs and controlling the clock like Whisky did last night. We'll take a few turnovers as well.

Pretty simple, @ Ohio State our coverages weren't soft and the play calling was aggressive.

Baylor had Mike second guessing himself by the 3rd series. Back to soft coverage and umbrella front 7. Been doing it ever since, our boys have just gotten better in spite of the scheme.

We were also fortunate they had J.T. Barrett at quarterback. They had us beat for two touchdowns where he just flat missed the throws. And no, he wasn't under duress.

These guys are different. It's not an Urban Meyer offense, so we won't have to account for the quarterback in the run game quite so much, but those big speedy backs will be a load.

If we get too aggressive with the back end guys, they'll beat us over the top... unless we get to the QB first. I don't know if MS can trust our guys enough to play man and bring pressure all game, but I sure hope he mixes things up and brings it enough to keep them guessing. If we just sit back and wait for them to come to us all game....... well, they will.
