This is a standing ovation cheers to Baker attaining the TOP awards after walking on twice. His goal is still out there for him to latch on to. His personal bests are needed, as is good sound playcalling. This team is special, and certainly for a team that was thought to be retooling, they have shown some good focus after that miserable Iowa State loss...even if it was only by one score. Very happy for Baker and all the other Sooner award winners but I’ve long thought that awards should be dealt with after conclusion of the entire season. An entire week traveling to various award functions has to have an impact to bowl game preparations, especially when national championship games are involved.
I agree. Awards should be post season. No unnecessary distractions.
If this Anderson mess is not a distraction I doubt a few Award Ceremonies will make much of a dent either.

I wish I could post a pic an OU police officer friend of mine took after the last home game. Somebody took small metal stakes and yellow construction tape and made a square on OU's Heisman row.
