OKC's first-round draft pick Thomas Sorber has torn his ACL and will miss the whole season. While he and Brooks play different positions, this will open up an extra roster spot. It's possible they use that spot on another big guy, but overall this probably gives Brooks a better chance of earning a roster spot.

I hope it works out for Brooks and damn that's a shame for Sorber. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and it doesn't ruin his career.
