Kudos to Jake Goebbert (and to Lunker for reporting)!

I saw the Chicago Sun-Times all area team. I was disappointed that not one of the 12 or so that were named were going to attend NU.

They usually recruit well nationally. The Illinois makeup typically consists of the top players. A good number of Illinois Player of the Years have attended. I'm not sure as to this class, but I'm sure they have some of the better players in the state coming in. Baseball is hard to gauge, because every publication will have a different top player list. You also have a lot of kids go JUCO or get drafted right out of HS.
