Better watch out if you want to do that here...

Ridiculous waste of police resources. Each of these guys should demand a jury trial. We have jury nullification embodied in the Georgia Constitution, so no chance anyone would ever get convicted....

ALPHARETTA, GA (CBS46)
Police raid Alpharetta pizza bar for alleged March Madness gambling

Authorities arrested 23 people, and more arrests are expected, following a
raid Monday night at an Alpharetta sports bar where police say illegal betting took place after hours.

At about 9 p.m., officers from Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell and Johns Creek raided Pepperoni's Tavern on Old
Milton Parkway.

They seized cash, gambling documents and a couple of guns.

According to George Gordon, a spokesman for the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, Pepperoni's
Tavern closed its doors to customers Monday night, at which point invited guests showed up and
rearranged the place so that they could place cash bets on the NCAA basketball tournament.

When authorities entered the restaurant, they detained 65 people.
"Quite frankly this is the largest gambling operation that I remember in recent memory ever being in our city,"
said Gordon. "So we're grateful for the intelligence that was gathered."

Pepperoni's Tavern advertises its March Madness bracket challenge on its website and on social media
with winners receiving free food and drinks, an acceptable practice.
"Obviously, this time of the year, betting is very popular based on the NCAA tournament, but of course, an
operation like this (gambling) is illegal," Gordon said.
