Not a bad start but should be up by 10. We are down by 1. Love BJ Mack but he's trying to do too much. He is undersized against these big, fast dudes.

Of course it has to be a nail biter. I’m too old for this.

Trailing at the half for the first time this season. We have played well. Sears has to have over 50% of Bama's points. We are rebounding and playing defense well with the exception of the mental lapses with Sears.

Looks like frank is back coaching

Please don't say that! If I never his name again, I would be thrilled.

Still lack talent at most positions. We lose several guys after this season.

I agree. Just so disappointing to see your team getting completely manhandled when you hoped just maybe they might make the postseason

Yep. Don't know if it's just a bad game or if we (as Gamecock fans typically do) talk ourselves into thinking we are good when we really aren't.
Right on cue. Paris was ESPN coach of the week. We just missed out on the top 25. Starting to generate some chatter about our program.

Blasted on the road.

Road game against a good team. We did two things we typically haven’t done. Turn the ball over and shoot poorly. You do those two against a team that can score like Bama and you lose…badly. Anxious to see how we respond at Mizzou.

It was tough to watch for sure. I had us down for an L before the game but certainly did not think it would look as bad as it did. Mizzou on the road. They hung with UK for most of the game at Rupp. If we can split the next 2 I would be ok.

#1 and #2 went down last night to unranked teams on the road. It happens. I predicted .500 record in conference. I still think we'll land in the ballpark of .500. We are capable of beating just about anyone if we shoot well and capable of losing to anyone if we don't. Looking for a bounce back game.

For sure, losing happens. No way to sugarcoat a 1 point halftime deficit turning into a 27 point loss though. Hopefully it was an anomaly, not to be repeated.

We have a pretty tough stretch coming up. At Mizzou won't be easy. They hung with UK for a good bit of the game last night. Then we play UGA at home, but they are much improved over last year. At Arkansas is always tough. Then we have UK, Mizzou and UT.

Not feeling super optimistic about this stretch. Hopefully we do as you say and bounce back against Mizzou this weekend.

Agreed. Hopefully this is a needed slap in the face to get us on track.

A team having a tournament season will still lose 50% of their games on the road in conference play - so no need to read too much into this one.

Unfortunately, looking at the schedule, there are no gimmes in the road conference schedule this season. Definitely need to pick up wins at Mizzou and UGA to have a chance.

South Carolina only made six field goals in the second half and shot 22 percent in that half. I just do not think that is a reality but a fluke. That half reminded me of Coach Frank Martin last game at South Carolina in the SEC tournament second half against Mississippi State.

Or, what we are in total is being revealed.
