Battle for Atlantis

anyone have any inside info when Duke will be playing in the Battle for Atlantis Tourney? Any rumors or info on them playing in next few years?

Honestly no idea. Should be back in Maui next year or year after. I'm not sure Nike is a big fan of the Atlantis tourney.

It seemed like we used to play in Maui every 4 or 5 years. But with 15 teams in the league now, we have to wait a little longer for our turn. Granted I don't think every ACC team gets a Maui invite, but you would think between us, Virginia, Notre Dame, UNC, Louisville, and Syracuse, we'll have to wait awhile for the next go around. Here's a look at some of the ACC schools that got invites over the previous years:

2017- Notre Dame
2016- UNC
2015- Wake Forest
2014- Pittsburgh
2013- Syracuse
2012- UNC
2011- Duke
2010- Virginia

Not sure how UNC got back to Maui so quickly, but we've had short intervals as well (1992, 1997, 2001). The 2018 bid should come between Louisville, Duke, and Virginia.
