"Deer in the Headlights" look. NB did not think it was necessary to have any practice this week on defending the pass. He had seen his pass defense the last two weeks and was satisfied with what he saw! Now in a serious tone someone needs to overhaul every aspect of our pass defense. On third and short a kid in the first grade could figure out that 8 out of ten times it will be just past the sticks. And of course our offense is much worse. The D has to play probably 50% more snaps (wild calculation on my part) except when we play prevent defense then only about four or five plays puts opponent in scoring range. Yes, our whole coaching staff should go back to school and let the first grader take over😊 Nuff said I've rambled enough.

This team has had problems defending the pass all year when it really matters. We have played enough games for opposing coach's to see we have holes in our secondary. I just think going forward they will continue to attack our db's until we prove we can stop it.

At some point in time some of you need to come to grips with the fact that WVU hasn’t been good for quite awhile and the average recruiting, if that, has reared its ugly head. Throw in a dumbass AD hiring a coach that wasn’t ready for a Big12 job and this bad program is what you get. The recruiting class this year appears to be excellent on paper. So this fork in the road comes down to two directions. One, supporting Brown by giving him 4 or 5 more years to build on this recruiting class and giving him time to grow into the position. Or Two, dumping him and pour money into a Hugh Freeze type of hire. Either choice has merit IMO.

Is that factual statement about not practicing DB or another made up story?
