Beachbody - Product and Coach

I've normally been against Network Marketing and Pyramid business models since my days of being a CutCo Rep. While not a Pyramid model, it did make you hit up all your friends and family members, which became tedious after a while and sometimes I felt like I was being a nuisance and using my relationships to peddle product, even if it was great quality (CutCo Double-D Edge!). Not to mention, this was well before Social Media became what it is today. and now all these companies have their reps blasting your social media accounts with posts, notifications and trials. World Ventures is the worst with this, but that's for another conversation.

So enter Beachbody. I have almost a dozen friends doing it. I'm not as into the workouts, as most of them are timed, group workouts focusing on cardio. For me, I'd rather be at the gym with headphones. But these Shakeology/Cleanse/21-day fix programs are intriguing. They appear to be some of the best protein and meal-replacement shakes you can buy. I'm thinking of doing the 3-day Cleanse soon to get rid of all the Holiday toxins. So any thoughts on that, appreciated.

But the bigger question, what about being a BB Coach? It seems like a much more relaxed approach, not in everyone's face about it (Although, the social media onslaught still sucks) and a great way to make some side-income or even a career out of it. It does combine a Pyramid and Network model, having you share your experience and get people under you to push product. And it's a product that's very in demand. My friend has 400 people under her. I already have 2 co-workers who will buy the cleanse off me if I sold.

Anyone have any experience with this? Either product, business model, or even being a coach?

As always, funny and degrading answers are appreciated.

I think you can? Maybe. I'm technically still a licensed seller, although it's been 10 years now.

Just on the side. That's what it is for most people, side income. Because the main focus is eating well and staying in shape, which most people do on the side anyways. It'd be some pocket change, plus a discount on all their products. People swear by Shakeology, and if it's the real deal, just signing up and having someone under you gets the discount.

My wonderful wife bought a ton of those BB shakes. I ended up finishing them and then started making my own shakes/smoothies.

1 cup fruit (frozen bags at Wally World are perfect)
2 cups of Almond milk
Giant scoop of peanut butter
Scoop of protein powder
1 banana
1 cup of crushed ice

I just saved you a ton of money and spared you friends from you pushing overpriced shakes on them. You are very welcome.

@catlanta33 Normally, I'd agree 100%. Basic protein powder and mix in all the rest for like $1.25/shake, instead of $3.00. However, they have some sort of fiber and vitamin blend that's meant to keep you satiated. I think that part would be tough to replicate.

I'm sorry to hear you don't have a functioning liver or kidney(s). Porch lights on.

[eyeroll] at "Holiday toxins."

But since it's clear you have no clue what you're talking about, I have to agree that you'd be a perfect shill for that garbage.

Holidays ruin me, all the cookies, fats, beer, bourbon.. Just like everyone else. Technically those are "toxins".

This is what most people refer to as food.

Yeah it's a stupid buzzword for people promoting junk science on Facebook. And you bought it, hook, line, and sinker. Congrats on your poor science education.

By the way.. Let's veer topics seing as how you grundles were barely any help.

World Ventures? Anyone hear of that? What a cess pool. It's the worst of the worst of network marketing. You go on a trip to like Idaho, take pictures with a dumb "you should be here sign", brag about your sweet trip to potatoe land, and attempt to get people on board.

You try and gain more and more people, and the real cool trips start coming in (one friend went to Michigan and THEN to Cozumel for like 40 hours). I'm not sure what kind of income is coming in.. But the really high ups, who probably sold their soul to this thing.. Constantly post pictures of cars, girls and generally "the life".

I still have some of the products from my Amway starter kit from back in the 60s. Anybody interested? (A special discount is available for Paddock posters!)

I have a pretty extensive background in fitness having competed on the national level. And that said, I think BB, Zija, Advocate, etc; tend to target the people who know absolutely nothing about nutrition and very little about fitness. And in general, the people who are pushing them are not people I would take any kind of advice from. Their target audience are typically those that think there's a magic pill or shake that will make you look like Logan Franklin, Heidi Somers or Paige Hathaway. It's 80% in the kitchen and 20% in the gym, always will be.

But I will also never tell another man how to make a buck. If you believe in it, go for it.

Wow the perfect place to inquire about a new business venture especially one that involves word of mouth. It sounds like you've already gained some major clientele by asking the paddck about selling an excellent product. If you could give us pointers on how to sell more wee wee pads for dogs we may all become instant millionaires. Thank you young warren Buffett

I'm thinking of doing the 3-day Cleanse soon to get rid of all the Holiday toxins.

Your holiday diet probably caused a blockage in your solar plexus chakra. I'll perform a free consultation to diagnose a possible clog and make the necessary recommendation. If you do indeed have a clog putting your chakras out of balance, as a licensed Reiki practitioners, I'll heal you naturally for a nominal fee.

I am not a coach and to not drink Shakeology however I lost over 40 lbs doing Beachbody programs. They do work if you follow them. Putting the dvd in, pushing play and sitting on the couch to watch them won't do it though.

As does any workout plan where you actually workout and eat better.

Sitting on the couch wont help you lose weight? Keep em coming!

You know what else works.

Exercising and a reasonable diet. Run a calorie deficit and you'll lose weight.

I'll take my millions now. TIA.

I would like to buy your shake and program for $300 a month please.
