That should be the bare minimum for a coach at U.K. So I say this...Beat UofL. Show your supporters that they were right and prove your detractors wrong. Show us all you're the man for the job and can get it done.

We struggled with Austin Peay, I doubt we will compete with the dirty birds.

Believe it or not so will I.

I still remember what it was like to have that delusional hope in UK football each season only to be kicked in the dick as Fall wore on.
I've had four decades of fandom taking that kick. The younger fans don't get it yet and hopefully things change and they never have to get it. But after the first 35 years or so it starts getting old. Believe me.

Haha. This season gave us 2 dick kicks. Started the season with high aspirations. Then the 2nd half of the first game. Then they managed to get my hopes up again and butter finger badet struck.

We struggled with Austin Peay???

Lol.

Yes. We struggled for 1/3rd of the game. Ya know, until their 18 dressed defenders needed a substitute.

How can you defend stoops. Not one other coach would send the message to his team that this is just a walk thru by resting an able bodied player.

Hell, the only reason we scored our first touchdown 22 minutes in was because Snell turned a play meant to line up a field goal into a touchdown.

Keep pumping that sunshine and you will get to have this argument as much as you want because this season is near the cieling for a stoops head coached team.

You make absolutely zero sense. We beat them because we were better.

The resting an able body was of good reason. Johnson has been playing hurt. Many yeams do this same thing. Hell, Cobb did that for Green Bay a couple of weeks ago. They started every other player offensively and defensively. JRow had a long post about the injuries that Johnson has been playing with. They wanted to allow him a chance to heal. Quit acting like this doesn't happen all the time.

And Benny took that to house because that was the play called. Saying it was to set up a FG is just you making up stuff to support your stupid agenda.

Lol. Yeah, I'm the stupid one. You clearly have no football acumen.

Not a single coach in college football sends a message to his team that this is just a gimme win. Maybe you and stoops. But that's it. This isn't the NFL and Johnson isn't a slot receiver.

3rd and 15 and stoops had no dreams of benny busting numerous tackles and picking up a first down, much less scoring. He figured we would grab 3 points Keep showing us how inept at football you are. You're a joke on this board to 90%.

I don't care what people on this board think of me. And I know plenty. Stoops wasn't sending a message that it was a gimme game. He was trying to get a player healthy.

And coaches sit players to try to do that all the time against lesser opponents. You are pretty naive if you don't think that happens. And again, maybe he ran snell because AP was thinking pass and they felt like Benny could bust one.

But it's good. We know your feelings are hurt that we aren't going to have another firing of a coach.

No, unlike you. I'm able to think for myself. I want nothing more than stoops to be here the rest of his career. He would be doing something right

Unfortunately I don't see it. The man that calls his last timeout when an opposing player is injured continues to show he's about as brilliant as you. Johnson was in no way shape or form injured. He wasn't unhealthy. Was he hurting? Maybe .. who isn't? You clearly haven't played organized sports and definitely not football. You don't sit your able bodied leader in hopes that the gimme game (to clinch a bowl, nonetheless) plays out. It's a horrible message and it was painfully obvious the team had this game already tallied in the W column. Similar to EKU. But you don't look at stuff like that. Sunshine all day everyday.

Why are you accepting 7-5 as bare minimum, you loser who likes losing. Me, I say bare minimum is 10-2. But I don't accept losing like you do I guess.

Nights like tonight really make me wish the board had a mandatory BAC reading for ignorant posts like the one above. Sorry we won the game. Sorry we went .500 in the SEC. Sorry we are going to a bowl game for the first time in many a year. Most of all I'm sorry that people like you can ***** and moan all night about the team we supposedly all love achieving the things I mentioned above.

Hahaha...that's funny to say that I don't think for myself, then tell me I don't know anything because the board doesn't like me. Lol. I think I have proven many times that I think for myself.

As far as never playing sports before, you have no clue what I have played. Let's just say I have played more than enough. I also have coached more than enough to understand situations.

Also, what an ignorant example to use. First, he called the TO before knowing a player was injured as he had to call one quickly and didn't have time to look around to see if there were injured players. Had he waited and the refs not stopped the clock, you would have screaming that he should have used it.

And by the way, it looks to me like Johnson was ready to go. Proof is in the pudding. So again, this was about getting Johnson healed up. And yes, it happens all the time.

We haven't beaten a team with a winning record. UL, at their place, will most likely stomp our guts out. They're already pissed after getting THEIR guts stomped last week, and being knocked out of the convo for the championship. It won't be close, but nevertheless, like the past 54 years, I'll be rooting like hell for my beloved Cats.

Ky can beat Louisville, if, they run the ball for 400 yards, control line of scrimmage, no turnovers, score tds instead of fgs, and most importantly, stop Lville from scoring on half of their possessions. But, I don't see happening.

"Bare minimum" ? Are you new to UK football ? Right now..considering how this season started, I'll take 6-5 and love it. This football program has really never had a winning tradition..numerous Coaches have turned in abysmal tenures at UK in the past..UK hadn't went 4-4 in the SEC in ten years..UK hasn't been to a bowl game in 6 years..haven't won a bowl game in 8 years..Are now under .500 all time thanks in large part to Joker and Mitch. Baby steps, man. UK is on the right track..even if they go 6-6 this season.

I'm not complaining about that. It's great. The team has risen above their mediocre coach to win some games. I hope they do it next week.

Sorry that some people are able to look past wins/losses. It's not too hard. Some people can see just absolutely horrible coaching decisions game after game and can identify a pattern. I'm sorry you're not able to do This.

Get him and the staff out of here if we don't beat them. They should have lost to Duke on that same field, and they have a awful line. All you gotta do is guard the middle of the field and Jackson is lost.

You don't think for yourself in regards to Kentucky. This board doesn't influence anybody's opinion. If so, that person is weak. You toe the company line to convince yourself that all is grand.

How about going for 2 with 25 minutes left? there are literally so many boneheaded stoopses, we could discuss it all day. Did he see the injured player? Don't know. But he looked like he had no idea why it mattered when the coach pointed it out. Either way, he should have recognized what his lowly assistant recognized.

So you're admitting that Johnson was good to go? You think nick saban would "rest" his starter? no. And guess what: we are certainly no where near Bama. It was a horrible stoops and anyone can see it. Except for the sunshine crowd.

But I'm done arguing with someone who wouldn't see fault in a horse turd. I'll continue to support the players while thinking that stoops just isn't decision making material. Hope he gets there. Maybe I'll see you at the bowl game? Doubtful

F it!!! Let's get rid of every fing coach, that doesn't go 11-1/12-0!!! Zipp/Rhodes of Kentucky! You come up with a better solution douche

What's a solution douche?

How about we just fire coaches who after 4 years have proven they are not head coach material? I'll settle for that.

Right, and where did all the experts on the bowl committee that put a lot of time into studying all the variables rank them after that loss. Almost every team has one game where they just don't show up, but the Houston team was probably just betterthan UL. Do we have a five star DL on the team, should we kick our players while they are down because they aren't five star players? Why aren't you playing or coaching at the P5 level?
