Beaver Dam Rest Stop Closing

Apparently this Arby's/gas station was beloved by everyone in Western KY. I find this hilarious because I lived in Beaver Dam until 2014, and half the people in the county had probably never been inside, including me.

Pretty much the only time Beaver Dam has ever been in the news for anything. The one thing people know Beaver Dam for... is a place to pee.

You know, rest areas are havens for homosexual activity. They're the bath houses of the 90's for many, many, many, many gay men.

It is for people outside the county. More people from Etown or Paducah use it than Beaver Dam. Probably not ready to stop to pee yet since leaving Beaver Dam.

It will be missed.

I couldn't care less if Arby's closed but it's pretty convenient for me to stop there and take a piss and gas up.

Yeah it was a Jerry's 20 plus years ago.

Good place to meet Owensboro people and ride east together.

This may come as a shock to you.. but yes, yes there is. Bill Monroe home place is just down the road. Kind of the only tourism the county gets outside of the bathroom on the parkway

Color me shocked. I just assumed that little island was the whole town.
