Lowe is not a UK level PG, and anyone who doesn’t let their blue tinted glasses affect their CBB acumen, can see it! Lowe is at UK because he was what Pope could afford, let’s not play pretend here. I believe Lowe decided the stage was too big, and voila!

We allegedly spent $22 million on our roster, but only signed Lowe because he was "What Pope could afford"? That logic doesn't add up.
If Terry Pravis held it down last year then Jasper Johnson sure as hell better be able to.
You could...but probably wouldn't be eligible until Jan...or at least whatever Dec date is the end of the 1st semester. Seems silly, but academics evidently still "matter".
If it’s a real possibility then they need to at least look. That’s when JQ is expected so let’s get two additions

Two weeks ago Lowe was the difference between being a contender and a Sweet 16. Now he was not good enough to lead the team.

Lowe literally changed the game when he checked in against Louisville with the energy and play making he brought. He didn’t finish strong, but to say he can’t help this team is just an asinine comment. He’s needed this year.
Lowe is like a Briscoe or Hagans type guard. I don't mean defensively, I simply mean in terms of impact level. There will be some games where we absolutely love him, and some where we absolutely hate him and want him gone. Then there will be games where he is just avg. Not great, not awful. Just so so.

Yeah...Idk how "real" it is. I just know that's how it works. I'd expect there are players out there that could help that would have NCAA eligibility remaining and also have been in good academic standing (transfer credits). It's such an odd concept, but whatever. It's the world we are in.
Yeah, I'm not sure Lowe has ever been THAT guy. That's always been JQ. He's the one that brings that level. I think Lowe definitely makes the team better, especially on offense. His defense is/was an issue though. He was little more than a speed bump against Louisville. I think the Cats are for sure better with him than without though.
Yes and last year the consensus by some of the same people was that Chandler should go ahead and transfer because he didn't have the ability to play here and at this level. Evidently KW and TN can't shoot anymore either because they started slow to begin the season.
I highly doubt JQ plays this year. If he does he will not be 100.
I look at Pryor from Louisville and he is just now getting back after a full year out.
The pounding JQ will take is hard on the knees. And in his last highlight practice he was limping while shooting.
He killed us down the stretch against UofL, but it was 1 game. I'm gonna assume that he's done for the year.
Right? In the games where we looked like crap it was "we were without our starting PG what do you expect?" Now he's not worthy to be on the roster. For the record, I think we are better with a healthy Lowe. But if he can't get healthy, I would rather move on.
I’m just going to assume no Lowe and no JQ. We get one or both at any point and I’ll be pleasantly surprised. Is what it is.

There is a reason Pitt fans weren't sad to see him go. What everyone saw at the end of the UL game is who Lowe is. He is turnover prone and takes really bad shots. Not happy that he got injured but I'm not ready to toss out the season because of it.
I don't really think there is time to get another PG cleared and melded into the rotation without messing up whatever chemistry has already been formed. JJ wouldn't like being recruited over, that's for sure. Would have to be someone really special. Not even sure who would be available.

I agree 100%, he’s definitely the best option to be the best team we can be but we have to play some kind of defense with him in the game and he has to be able to play. So far it looks like a strong wind will knock him out.

BTW I thought Jasper looked much better at pg last game. Saw some transformation as a distributor I hadn’t seen before. I think he’s going to be very good there in time. Quick learner.
Its sad that people are going to knock a good player who tried to play hurt for his team and ended up hurting himself worse. I guess you would prefer another Shaedon Sharpe approach SMH. Get off the kid!
I don’t think money has anything to do with it. I believe it’s popes records with PGs. I mean Jaxon Robinson refused to play pg. and when faced with the reality of his fit a very similar situation played out with him electing surgery.
Two totally different players. Jasper certainly doesn’t seem comfortable and his handles are so so right now. Chandler is the guy to bring up with quaintance as a point forward. da most of the time though. He can go 35 min a night
It might have something to do with them seeing BG hold the the ball at the perimeter for 15 seconds of the shot clock. Or whichever center we have in.
