As I said in another thread - I saw him at the UL - UK game.

If we offer he'll be a Cat, IMO.

This guy seems really athletic and relatively lean for his size. Can't beat having good offensive line prospects in your back yard.

If they wants to play with the best OL in college ball UK just might be a better choice than Bama at that time. Seriously possible.

Add this kid and Wills to our already young O line, and we should be REALLY good there in a couple of years!

What position did he play before the move to OL? He's wearing a number 40 something so looks like he may have had the ball in his hands some? Or maybe LB?

Wow........... Not even gonna.......just wow....

So, do you subscribe to the theory that if they come to UK they must not be that good? Where did you pick that up from, a Transfer U board?

In 17 we could start an OL of 5.7 George, (that most agree is underrated, including the coaches or they wouldn't have burned his redshirt), 5.8 Drake with a years experience that coaches have been salivating over for a while now, a 5.9 with two years of JC experience, enrolling early, AND with the transiition year behind him, a FIVE STAR with a years experience behind him, and another FIVE STAR if we get Wills, which seems likely at the moment. Contrary to popular belief, five stars do start at most places on the OL, and Bama started their last one IIRC, doubt if he started unless he was good the first year.

And I did say "might be", and I was thinking of him playing with his group, the OL, not the whole team, although I don't think we are hurting anywhere there on offense if the new coaches can get the QB position right, and I think they might.

Look it up, that is a higher rated OL coming in than Bama had this year.

Wills is the only real uncertainty, and I like our chances, and I said we COULD

You are really losing it.

I don't know that he is. UK could potentially have two 5 stars (Young & Wills), two four stars (Leavitt & Jackson) & GAA (underrated, but a Simper Fi AA) on the OL in a 2 years. I don't think that the words "might be" is all that much of a stretch.

Read my post just above yours, Blue Decade. I am speaking of the starting five talent wise, and sorry, I don't scout all of them so I have to take Rivals word for it. Coaching and the rest of the team will have a lot to do with how they do, but talent like this makes coaches a lot better, and if the OL isn't quite a bit better this year there should be several very good experienced OL coaches that would love to coach this talent.

I looked up Bama's proposed starting OL for the 16 season, they have a 5.7, a 5.8, a 5.9, and a 6.1, with another I couldn't find a numerical rating for, just the not very precise "four star", but he had a greyshirt until the last minute so I assume he was a 5.8 at best.

And by the numbers that STARTING lineup would be graded lower than UK's, the same except we would have one FIVE STAR starting where they would have the grayshirt four star starting.

Sorry, nothing to pooh pooh about the OL talent UK has coming up, especially if we get Wills, and the new mountain boy sounds impressive, who knows how he will play, but these OL we have now should attract more top rate OL when they reach the field.
